Risk analyses of Crapteig and Rofla tunnels, Switzerland
Realization: spring 2013
We implemented risk analyses of the Swiss road tunnels Crapteig (2.2 km) and ROFL (1.1 km) on the highway A13. To evaluate the risk of collisions, fires and transporting hazardous substances, both methods PIARC QRAM with the Swiss enlargement and German BASt directive were used to assess the safety of road tunnels. Outputs (value risks and FN curve) analyses serve for comparison of various options of tunnels reconstruction and for final recommendation of the best variant of configuration of escape routes and ventilation setup.
